Description

Electronic emission of an isolated pyrene molecule induced by 50 to 125 keV protons has been investigated. The corresponding absolute double differential cross-sections 2 σ Ω E have been measured at an angle of 35° with respect to the incident proton beam axis. These measurements were compared to the simulations of emitted electrons' spectra using a semi-classical trajectory Monte-Carlo (SCTMC) approach. The simulated SCTMC cross-sections show reasonably good agreement with the measured ones. (paper)
