Description

A free motion of a relativistic string is described within the framework of the canonical formalism. This problem is considered from a more general point of view by quantizing a system with some constraints and clarification of the meaning of Goddard's, Goldstone's, Rebbi's and Thorn's treatment. Es wird eine freie Bewegung einer relativistischen Kette im Rahmen des kanonischen Formalismus beschrieben. Das Problem wird durch die Quantisierung eines Systems mit einigen Zwaengen und die Untersuchung der Bedeutung der Abhandlungen von Goddard, Goldstone, Rebbi und Thorn von einem allgemeineren Standpunkt aus behandelt.
