Global structure of the ionosphere and its particularities during transition from high to middle latitudes
- 1. Krasnoyarskij Inst. Tsvetnykh Metallov (USSR)
Description
The main principles of ionosphere global model construction are described. An example of two-zone model of ionosphere uniform for middle and high latitudes is given. Slow variations in ionosphere structure of diurnal character related to diurnal changes of UV-radiation and UT-effects in magnetoquiet times are considered. In contrast to conventional notion, in the given case to the main reasons for the formation and variation of ionosphere structure in global scale-ion formation at the expense of short-wave solar radiation and diffusion transfers - convective transfers of ionospheric-magnetospheric plasma, transverse as to the geomagnetic field, as well as plasma longitudinal fluxes related to convection and directed along the geomagnetic field and caused by ion pressure, gravity, peculiarities of ionosphere heat regime, are added
