Description
Magnetic ordering occurs in quartzoid glasses impregnated with Fe even after low-temperature treatment (570 K); the resulting structures at high treatment temperatures (above 1070 K) are dominated by hematite with a particle size of ∼ 10 nm. Heat treatment conditions enable one to adjust the sizes and properties of these iron-bearing particles, which determine the magnetic and magnetooptic parameters of the quartzoid glass
