Description
Results of differential thermal analysis, microstructural analysis and microhardness measurements have been used to construct phase diagrams of CdSb-In and Sb-Insub(0.5)Cdsub(0.5) polythermal cross-sections of the In-Sb-Cd ternary system, and to plot cross-sections of the CdSb-InSb-Sb ternary system at constant concentrations of In (33% at.) and Cd (44.4% at.). A projection of liquidus of the In-Sb-Cd system is constructed. It has been found that three ternary eutectics exist in the system, and the major part of the diagram is occupied by the field of InSb crystallization. Reactions involved in crystallization of alloys in the In-Sb-Cd ternary system are identified
