Description

The subjects studied and the scope of the analysis were directed to those aspects of some specific relevance to the TMI-2 accident. The determination of what actually happened (The Summary Sequence of Events) is therefore a most important contribution to all of the studies. In general, the analyses are directed to describing what happened, explaining why it happened, an assessment of the conditions that made the occurrences possible, an assessment of the results of the accident, and to a limited degree, an examination of what might have happened had the accident worsened
