Formation of projectile fragments by statistical decay in high-energy heavy-ion reactions
Description
Cross sections for the removal of 1-4 nucleons from projectiles between 12C and 56Fe in collision with a hydrogen target are calculated and compared with experimental values. The calculation assumes that fragments are formed as a result of nucleon-nucleon followed by sequential decay. (orig.)
