Energetic of uranyl chloride interaction with neutral oxygen-containing bases

Creators

Description

Using enthalpy formation values (-ΔH1:1) of uranyl chloride complexes with neutral oxygen-containing ligands prepared in acetone, electrostatic and covalent UO2Cl2 contributions into complexing have been estimated. Mostly the electrostatic contribution of interacting particles in complexing enthalpy is established. The formation heats of some complexes, which had reasonable values for 1:1 compositions is calculated. Linear correlations ΔH1:1 with donor numbers and dipole moments of bases are detected. Estimation of effective charges on donor atoms of neutral ligands and OUO groupings in uranyl salts is carried out on the basis of representations on electronegativity concepts. The strength of uranyl complexes is established to correlate with the values of the effective charges of the groupings named
