Effective dose-equivalent rates from radionuclides on the ground
Description
Effective dose-equivalent rate factors have been calculated for external exposure from gamma emitters on the ground using the latest recommendations of ICRP for the dose conversion factors for a rotational beam orientation from the soil to the receptor position. The calculations are referring to a smooth, uniformly contaminated infinite plane soil surface. Tabulated results are given for 59 radionuclides of potential importance in case of atmospheric releases during accidents in nuclear reactors or reprocessing plants. These data allow an easy calculation of the dose-equivalent response for gamma photons. (Author)
