Semi classical approach to nuclear level densities
Description
It is shown that the semi classical approach provides a satisfactory scheme explaining the known features of the macroscopic systematics of the level density parameters. The transparency of the method makes it easy to incorporate the experimental information in the nuclear effective interaction used in more microscopic approaches. 10 references
