Communication Received from Germany Concerning its Policies regarding the Management of Plutonium. Statements on the Management of Plutonium and of High Enriched Uranium
Description
The Secretariat has received a note verbale dated 2 July 2013 from the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the IAEA in the enclosures of which the Government of Germany, in keeping with its commitment under the Guidelines for the Management of Plutonium (contained in INFCIRC/5491 of 16 March 1998 and hereinafter referred to as the 'Guidelines'), and in accordance with Annexes B and C of the Guidelines, has made available annual figures for holdings of civil unirradiated plutonium and the estimated amounts of plutonium contained in spent civil reactor fuel as of 31 December 2012. The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany has also made available a statement of the estimated amounts of highly enriched uranium (HEU) as of 31 December 2012.

General'nyj direktor poluchil ot Postojannogo predstavitel'stva Federativnoj Respubliki Germanija pri MAGATJe verbal'nuju notu ot 2 ijulja 2013 goda, v prilozhenijah k kotoroj v sootvetstvii so svoim objazatel'stvom v ramkah Rukovodjashhih principov obrashhenija s plutoniem (soderzhashhihsja v dokumente INFCIRC/5491 ot 30 marta 1998 goda i dalee imenuemyh 'Rukovodjashhie principy') i soglasno prilozhenijam V i S jetih Rukovodjashhih principov pravitel'stvo Germanii predstavljaet ezhegodnye dannye o zapasah grazhdanskogo neobluchennogo plutonija i ob ocenochnyh kolichestvah plutonija, soderzhashhegosja v otrabotavshem toplive grazhdanskih reaktorov, po sostojaniju na 31 dekabrja 2012 goda. Pravitel'stvo Federativnoj Respubliki Germanija predstavljaet takzhe zajavlenie ob ocenochnyh kolichestvah vysokoobogashhennogo urana (VOU) po sostojaniju na 31 dekabrja 2012 goda.
