Description

We discuss method to describe quantum mechanical and thermal fluctuations in hot rotating nuclei on a unified microscopic footing, using the concept of the Static Path Approximation and Projection Techniques on the eigenspaces of symmetry operators. The method is applied for the calculation of level densities with fixed angular momentum as a function of the temperature. (author). 15 refs., 2 figs
