Generation of light nuclei isotopes in the Earth's radiation belt
- 1. Moskovskij Inzhenerno-Fizicheskij Inst. (Gosudarstvennyj Univ.), Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
The results of calculating the H and He isotope nuclei fluxes in the radiation belt, depending on the solar cycle phase and altitude, are presented. The calculational data are compared with the data, obtained in the NINA and NINA-2 experiments on board the RESURS-01 No. 4 and MITA satellites in 1998-2001. It is shown that the interaction of the captured neutrons with the residual atmosphere constitutes the sufficient source of the 4He, 3He, 3H and 2H nuclei in the radiation belt for the L-shells, smaller than 1.3
