On the determination of scattering partial amplitudes in the case of regular and singular two-centre potential fields
Description
The problem of determination of the non-relativistic characteristics of the scattering process in the case of regular and singular two-centre fields is discussed. We suppose that the corresponding potentials allow for a separation of variables in the Schroedinger equation in spheroidal co-ordinates. It is shown that the problem reduces to a well determined Cauchy problem for one ordinary first order differential equation. The possibility of using the formal series expansion method for the solution of the scattering problem has been justified
