Description
The kinetic theory of a stationary double layer (DL) with an arbitrary in magnitude monotonous potential drop and an arbitrary current is devised. The theory accounts for the presence of accelerated, reflected and flight particles. Exact formulas are derived for the functions of distribution and spatial behaviour of the electrons and ion concentrations in a DL. The case of strong DLs (DLs with aconsiderable electric potential drop) being the of greatest with the numerical experiment on the formation of a stationary DL. A method is indicated of a more precise selection of numerical simulation parameters
