Velocity redistribution in lower hybrid current drive

  • 1. California Univ., Los Angeles (USA). Center for Plasma Physics and Fusion Engineering

Description

A review is presented of number of computer experiments in current generation with lower hybrid waves. These simulations were performed with a particle simulation code which calculates the trajectories of about 1/4 million particles in their self-consistent (electrostatic) fields plus the fields due to an external antenna.
