Description

A statistical model for the parton distributions in the nucleon has proven its efficiency in the analysis of unpolarized and polarized deep inelastic scattering data. This statistical approach involves only a few free parameters and has several characteristic features which will be recalled. Predictions for various QCD processes involving leptons and hadrons, are compared with recent experimental results from DESY, SLAC, FNAL, RHIC and Jefferson Lab. This new comparison is very satisfactory and we will also discuss the prospect of this physical framework
