Metallographic study of sputtering zone structure
Description
Method of microstructural study of deposited spot under gaso-thermal coating formation is presented. Particles thickness and coating porosity alaong deposited spot radius were measured on metallographic cross-sections. Increase of particles thickness and porosity in outside zone corresponds to decrease of rate and specific enthalpy of deposited particles. Use of conic nozzle allows 2-times decrease particles thickness and coating porosity due to more high values of rate and specific enthalpy of deposited particles
