Description

Polarization information will make possible precise tests of standard model predictions via the left-right asymmetry of Z0 events. The SLAC Linear Collider (SLC) was designed so that the capability to accelerate polarized electrons could be easily added with no loss of luminosity. The operation of SLC with polarized electron beams, the status of the major components necessary for polarization, and the advantages of polarized collisions at the SLC are summarized
