Impact parameter dependence of Ag K-vacancy production by 60 Me V I ions
Description
The probability of forming Ag K vacancies in 60 MeV l collisions with centre-of-mass scattering angles thetasub(cm) between 20 and 1440 was measured. The probability varies approximately as sin2 thetasub(cm), as predicted for 2pσ-2pπ rotational coupling, but the magnitude of the probability is much higher than expected. (author)
