Description
A tritium laboratory has been designed and built at Ontario Hydro Research Division. Its mandates in order of priority, are to provide a service facility in support of Ontario Hydro's Tritium Removal Facility, to provide a research laboratory for CANDU (CANadian Deuterium Uranium) tritium related work, and to develop a tritium handling data base relevant to the other tritium related initiatives. The facility is currently licensed for a maximum tritium inventory of 0.31 g (3000 Ci) with restrictions on emissions of 0.14 mg (1.4 Ci) of tritium per week.
