Description

On 30 Dec. 2000, Reactor 8 was manually tripped at 06:25 following a part failure of the blue phase circuit breaker, X890, in the 400 kV substation. The reactor was operating under reduced load conditions while on-load refuelling was in progress. Reactor 7 remained under steady full load conditions (671 MW).
