A Remotely-Controlled Jig for the In-Cell Cutting of MHGB and Teledial Fuel-Elements
Description
This paper describes the construction and operation of a jig, incorporating a mechanical saw which is intended for use in a hot-cell. Its purpose is the longitudinal sectioning of irradiated MHGB and Teledial fuel elements. The description is illustrated by photographs which show, in addition to details of construction, the apparatus in operation, and some of the graphite sections obtained. (author)
