Description

Previous studies of uranium resources in southwest china are summarized and analyzed. The breakthrough direction for future prospecting uranium resources is proposed. The uranium resources prospecting in southwest China is started in 1955. The five uranium ore fields are proved. The study area is divided into five metallogenic belts and four prospecting belts combing the regional uranium characteristics, grade of the regional tectonic, concentrative degree of uranium deposit and mineralization. Results show geological condition of uranium mineralization in southwest China is feasible from regional metallogenic background and mineralization factors. The future work is to extend old mining area and open new base. (authors)
