Radiation monitoring and remediation following the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident. Cooperation between Fukushima Prefecture and the IAEA. Summary report (2013 to 2017). Fukushima Prefecture initiative projects. Outline. Temporary translation
Description
Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident caused severe damage and posed significant challenges for restoring the environment and ensuring the well-being of residents in Fukushima Prefecture. As an extension of the collaboration between Fukushima Prefecture and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), agreements were signed in April and May 2016, until December 2017, altering the extent of cooperation, in line with five projects (Fukushima Initiative Projects, FIPs). This report summarizes the achievements about the parts of FIPs over the past 5 years and provides a broad overview of the future outlook. (J.P.N.)
