Extraction of gluon momentum, spin, parity, and coupling from γ*N → psiN data
Description
The unique ability of heavy-quark leptoproduction to probe constituent gluons is exploited. From recent γ*N → psiN data, the gluon distribution eta-1(1-eta)/sup p/, p=5.6/sup +0.8//sub -1.2/, is extracted and α/sub s//π is inferred. It is shown that measurement of sigma/sub L//sigma/sub T/ as a function for Q2 for charm production can determine the gluon spin and parity
