Extraction of americium(III) from nitric acid solutions by nitrogen substituted carbamoylmethylphosphine oxides

Description
The extraction of nitric acid and americium(III) by diphenyl[dialkyl(diaryl)carbamoylmetyl]phosphine oxides (CMPO) with different substituents at nitrogen atom has been studded. The absence of anomalous aryl strengthening effect for americium(III) extraction by CMPO with aryl substituents at nitrogen atom was shown. The extraction constants of nitric acid and americium(III) for all reagents have been calculated. The substituents at nitrogen atom almost don't influence the reagents solubility in acid solutions (author). 8 refs
