Fundamental physics with ultra-cold neutrons
Creators
- 1. Kyoto Univ., Kumatori, Osaka (Japan). Research Reactor Inst.
Description
The neutrons with energies well below 2 x 10-7 eV, so-called 'ultra-cold neutrons', are totally reflected from a surface of the material. Some of experiments on fundamental physics with such slow neutrons are presented. The ultra-cold neutrons are with a great advantage for investigations of fundamental interactions in elementary physics, relativity, and quantum mechanics. (author)
