Description
The human murine chimeric anti CD20 B cell specific monoclonal antibody (Rituximab) has been approved for the treatment of Non Hodgkin's B cell Lymphoma and rheumatoid arthritis. In order to make it available and affordable for radioimmunotherapy of refractory or relapsed Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL), radioiodinated rituximab has been prepared and evaluated. In vitro binding cell binding studies and biodistribution studies in Swiss mice have indicated the potential of this molecule as a radioimmunotherapeutic agent for NHL. (author)
