Estimation of cloud parameters from short-lived Rn daughter activities of rainwater
- 1. Kyoto Prefectural Inst. of Hygienic and Environmental Sciences (Japan)
- 2. Government Industrial Research Inst., Nagoya (Japan)
Description
A simple model has been designed for deriving information on cloud depth, the liquid-water content of cloud, the removal rate of liquid-water in cloud and the radon daughter concentration in cloud from radon radon daughter concentrations in precipitation observed on the ground. This model is convenient for obtaining cloud information using the radon daughter in precipitation as a tracer, since the estimated values of the cloud parameters are consistent with commonly-held views on cloud physics and with some observed results.
