Shrinkage characteristics of neutron irradiated collagen fibres
Description
The effects of neutrons, both thermal and fast, on the shrinkage characteristics of collagen fibres are reported for the first time. Though the effects are similar to those of other ionizing radiations, the damaging action is much greater even at the low dosages employed in this study. (author)
