Description
A procedure for calculating current-quark masses and the slope parameter of the confining potential for quarks (antiquarks) is proposed in the phenomenological model of compound mesons with a QCD-motivated potential. Relations that make it possible to improve the accuracy of calculations of strong-interaction constants in the proposed model are derived. These constants are determined with experimental data on the mass spectra of 1-- mesons. 9 refs
