Description

Uranium recycle is a reality and is expected to grow substantially in the future, not least because of the large energy value inherent in future reprocessed uranium arisings. As recycle via current technology is economic for the majority of fuel currently committed to reprocessing, utilities can obtain early and defined benefits by uranium recycle. There is thus no need to use it as a strategic stock or wait for the projected benefits of laser enrichment. (author)
