A protected area at the Ezeiza Atomic Centre?

There is a growing concern among the populations regarding environmental pollution that can affects our quality of life, the biodiversity and the entire planet. This concern has led to the signing of international legal conventions in the framework of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development. This paper considers the relevance of establishing a space for the protection of nature and for academic studies related to the environment at the Ezeiza Atomic Center. The Center is located in the outskirt s of the urban most populous region of the country and it is one of the few green spaces in the area that contributes to the quality of urban environment. It is also a refuge of natural wildlife to the Pampean eco region. (author)
