Description
Over the past few decades renewables develop ever - better and improving the efficiency of systems using this type of energy is becoming increasingly important. The growth of biomass as a substitute for fossil fuels is increasing steadily because of the huge amount of potential biomass sources. Biomass is usually burned in a boiler with a fluidized bed. The moisture content in the biomass is high and ranges between 50% and 63%, depending on the season, time and type of biomass. Pre-drying of biomass can provide significant benefits to the boiler. Preliminary selection of fuel pre-drying technology for large biomass boiler is presented in this paper
