Strong coupled-reaction-channel system for the molecular orbital phenomena in heavy-ion reactions
Description
In heavy ion reactions at low incident energies the strong coupled-reaction-channel effects causes molecular orbitals due to the polarization and/or the hybridization between the polarized orbitals of the valence nucleon. In the core exchange of 12C + 13C, the lowest adiabatic state is stable in the system of the total parity PI = +, and generates a covalent molecule. The transfer processes play an essential role in the molecular orbital formation. (author)
