The Wess-Zumino term in the chiral bag model
Description
It is shown that local chiral boundary conditions make consistent an otherwise anomalous skyrmion with defect. A careful analysis of the induced action in the vacuum of the chiral bag model yields the missing part of the Wess-Zumino term. The issues of spin-statistics, hypercharge and strangeness are all consistently described in the chiral bag model. (orig.)
