Description

With visual, digital, radioscopic and scanner control, it is possible to implant a capsule of 125 radioiodine in ENT tumours. The dosage is calculated by a special method, with no risk of over or underdosing, or of internal radiation. 19 applications were effected between 1983 and 1986, 15 of which were for recurrences. The treatment is palliative, effective and causes little disturbance

Abstract (French)

Sous controle visuel, digital, radioscopique, tomodensitometrique, il est possible d'implanter au niveau des tumeurs ORL une capsule d'iode 125, dont la dosimetrie est calculee de facon precise, sans risque de sur- ou sous- dosage ni d'irradiation externe. 19 applications ont ete realisees de 1983 a 1986, dont 15 pour des recidives. Il s'agit d'une therapie palliative, efficace et peu incommodante
