The article discusses the development of tokamak in Europe. More of these fusion machines are being designed and built in the world. Two large tokamaks have just been completed in Britain. Many scientists believe that the tokamak is the answer to the worlds energy problem. If a high enough temperature can be generated, a nuclear fusion reaction is produced similar to that of the sun. In this way more energy is generated than was put in. As more tokamaks come on steam, power of several magawatts will be produced
