Measurement of (n,2n) and (n,3n) cross-sections for incident energies between 6 and 15MeV
Description
Cross sections for the (n,2n) and (n,3n) reactions have been measured for several nuclides between 6 and 15MeV using a large liquid scintillator to count the neutrons directly. Measurements were made relative to fission cross section of 238U for 56Fe, 59Co, 76Se, 78Se 80Se, 82Se, 89Y, 93Nb, 103Rh, 169Tm, 175Lu, 181Ta, 197Au, 209Bi, 238U, and for the natural elements Ni, Pt and W. The relative accurary was generally in the range 5 to 10%. The present results are compared with previous measurements

Les sections efficaces pour les reactions (n,2n) et (n,3n) ont ete mesurees pour plusieurs nucleides entre 6 et 15MeV en employant un grand scintillateur liquide pour compter directement les neutrons. Les mesures etaient faites relativement a la section efficaces de fission de 238U pour 56Fe, 59Co, 76Se, 78Se, 80Se, 82Se, 89Y, 93Nb, 103Rh, 169Tm, 175Lu, 181Ta, 197Au, 209Bi, 238U et pour les elements naturels Ni, Pt et W.
