Resurrecting (2,0) compactifications
Description
It has recently been argued that world-sheet instantons can destabilize certain previously considered solutions to the string equations of motion corresponding to world-sheet sigma models with (2,0) supersymmetry. In this paper the conditions for the stability of such models are examined and it is argued that a large and interesting subclass of (2,0) sigma models are in fact stable. (orig.)
