SU(3) as gauge group of the vectorlike weak and electromagnetic interactions

Description
A scheme of the weak and electromagnetic interactions based on the group SU(3) as well as on six quark flavours and eight leptons is presented. Several aspects of the weak interactions are discussed, in particular the presence of new right-handed currents, the neutral current, the generation of the Cabibbo angle, and the dominant non-leptonic weak interaction.
