Hadronic signature of critical behavior and final state randomization

Description

Hadronic observables are examined in search for signatures of critical behavior in quark-hadron phase transition. The 2D Ising model is used to simulate hadronic cluster formation on the surface of the expanding cylinder in a heavy-ion collision. Two measures involving the fluctuations of the produced hadrons in bins of various sizes are investigated. They are found to exhibit the canonical power-law behavior near the critical temperature. Final-state randomization is found not to have significant effect on the critical exponents
