Description
A new method of non-destructive control of metals and alloys with anomalous elastic properties (AEP) has been suggested and realized on the basis of pulse automatic ultrasonic (US) set-up. The method is based on dependence of temperature position, size and form of US-anomaly in the materials with AEP upon impurities and macrostresses. The paper also gives the rsults obtained with application of the US-method for determination of inclusions of pure chromium in chromium alloys, for determination of change in the concentration of substitution impurities in the low-doped alloy Cr-V-Ta-La after its annealing, and for investigation of spacial distribution of the residual macrostresses in chromium subjected to preliminary thermocyclic treatment
