Electrodynamics of morning sector of auroral oval
Description
Distribution different types for electrical and magnetic fields in auroral ionosphere morning sector are considered in accordance with measurement results conducted using INTERKOSMOS-BOLGARIYA-1300 satellite. Satellite data are compared with ground-based observations of geomagnetic variations. Electrical field distribution is shown to be determined by ionosphere conductivity heterogeneities connected with flows of precipitating particles. Electrical field decrease within the regions of increased conductivity which as a rule correspond to longitudinal currents flowing upwards. Conductivity increase affects negligibly the distribution of longitudinal currents. Centre of western electrojet may be placed between zone 1 and zone 2 of morning sector longitudinal curents and in zone 2 as well depending on relation of Pedersene and Hall conductivity. Origination mechanism for south-directed intensive electrical field responsible for passing of western electrojet is considered
