The contribution of the final state interactions to the suppression of the J/Ψ meson produced in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions
Description
J/Ψ mesons produced in 200 GeV/A Oxygen-Uranium collisions can be lost on their way out of the interaction zone by inelastic scattering with surrounding nucleons. We calculate this effect and find that it accounts for 25 % of the J/Ψ suppression as observed by the NA 38 experiment
