Case report 508: Histiocytosis X of the left femur-proximal segment
Description
A 52-year-old man presented with a lytic and sclerotic lesion in the upper end of the femur. Another faintly defined and much smaller lesion was present in the upper end of the right femur. A biopsy of the left femoral lesion resulted in a diagnosis of histiocytosis X. The left femoral lesion was removed surgically and the defect was filled with bone. Roentgenograms and CT together with histology gives the diagnosis. (orig./GDG)
