The estimation of asymmetries from incomplete azimuthal angular distributions
Description
The problem of estimating the parameters of an angular distribution in scattering experiments is discussed. The context is an experimental situation that artificially restricts the available angular range in a manner that differs from one scattering event to the next. The formal solution, which is non-linear in the parameters, is presented, and its implementation in a particular case is described. (Auth.)
