Heterogeneity in the distribution of minor components in ferrite and glass mixtures in artificial garnets was studied to develop technology using INAA. Data on component distribution heterogeneity for nonuniform material, obtained by INAA, permit assessment of a representative sampling value by the formulas suggested. 6 refs
