Electrodynamics without potentials
Creators
Description
Lagrangian formulation of classical and quantum electrodynamics which does not use potentials is made. Electrodynamics potential-free formulation results in the same physical effects as the standard one, but in potential-free formulation there are no formal difficulties (for example, indefinite metrics). The theory is nonlocal just externally, as theory physical effects do not depend on the selection of integration way. It may be applied to plotting electrodynamics with magnetic charge, at description of electromagnetic interaction in the medium, at introduction of electrodynamics into the standard diagrams of quantum field theory
